Dye sublimation, your best option for team uniforms and jerseys
Hello everyone!
My name is Cimen and I’m a Business Director at Healong Sportswear. We manufacture all types of sports apparel and we specialize in dye sublimation. Styles and trends have changed a lot during my time working here.
In the past, sports teams had very limited design options. Jerseys and uniforms were embellished using embroidery or vinyl heat transfers. The embroidery or tackle twill was heavy and that meant using a very thick fabric. The vinyl transfers weren’t very durable and would usually begin to peel off. Most designs were only one or two colors and you rarely saw names on the back of uniforms due to the high cost.
Currently, dye sublimated items are dominating the market. What is sublimation? And why are people using it you may ask. Let me explain the process and why it’s so popular. What is sublimation?
Sublimation is the process of transferring designs to fabric using special dyes and heat.
Using a digital printer we print the design onto a transfer paper using specialized inks.
The design paper is placed on to a piece of 100% white polyester fabric.
The paper and fabric is then pressed together, and heated to 200-210 degrees Celsius.
As the ink heats up it turns to a gas and forever binds with the fabric.
Once the ink has transferred to the polyester it will never fade, crack, or peel. What are the benefits of sublimation?Durability, unlimited color options, personalization, lightweight, quick turn around times. These are some of the most noticeable benefits of sublimation. Most importantly, you do not need to order a lot!Minimum Order of only 10 Pieces - This is ideal for clubs with a few teams or even just one team. You do not have to order in bulk.Quick production lead time - Normally you can receive your order in two to three weeks. If you need them in a right away, rush orders can be accommodated with an expedited fee.Customized player name and numbers at no extra cost – Since there are no traditional (and expensive) setup fees and each jerseys is printed on paper before being transferred to fabric, you can customize each jersey with a name, nickname and number. There is NO EXTRA COST for this.
Unlimited design options - You can use as few or many colors as you like and the cost will not increase. Chose an all over print or a more traditional design, your options are endless.
Easy reordering of replacement or extra jerseys - The manufacturer holds the design every time you order in case you need a replacement or reorder. Since no screens are required and no paints are needed to be mixed, every reorder will look exactly the same as the original order.
Extremely durable and comfortable - Sublimation printing will not crack, peel, or fade. The polyester fabrics used are with lightweight and moisture wicking. You will get tired of the design before the item wears out.
There is a saying “if you look good, you feel good, if you feel good, you play good” Well, even if you don’t play good, with sublimation, you will always look good! I hope this helps explain the sublimation process. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out and contact me.
